Our School Community

Our school is proud to belong to our local community and the churches in Bexhill.

Our Churches

It is important for us to make a contribution to our local and wider community by becoming involved in local activities and understanding that by acting together and as individuals we can make an impact on improving and enriching our own lives and the lives of others.

Our community involvement

Every year the food donations from our Harvest Festival go to towards local homeless projects in Bexhill and Hastings.

Our Year 5 pupils go on an annual Tinsel Tour to some of the retirement and care homes in Bexhill and to sing Christmas carols and bring some Christmas cheer to the residents. Both the residents and children benefit from this joyful experience.

Every year we support Children in Need by dressing up and holding cake sales and running games. Our children enjoy the experience and throw themselves wholeheartedly into raising money for others. We are very grateful to all the parents and carers for their contributions towards making events like this a success.

Each year we are very proud to support Remembrance Day by selling poppies in school which provided by our local British Legion. In Year 2 the children learn about why we have a Remembrance Day as part of a Learning Journey.

We also belong to the wider global community and have links with Mathare School in Kenya through the parish of St Peters. Our pupils learn about school in another culture and are keen to donate items which are sent to Mathare.

We are involved in the Water Aid fundraising project every year and we support Fair Trade.
